INFOGRAPHIC – The Garden Festival

There are now just 100 sleeps left until The Garden Festival returns to its new home in Tisno this summer, reaching its 8th season in beautiful Croatia. As the country enters the EU from July 1st, it’s the start of an exciting new odyssey for both festival and country, growing together as one. After last year’s UK washout, there’s no better place than The Garden to experience its unique blending of festival and holiday into a glorious fun-filled journey, dancing under the sun and stars with like-minded people from across the world.

The Garden Festival is Croatia’s original event, revered for its intimate family ethos and setting on the beautiful Dalmatian coastline, beyond which glitters the enticingly warm Adriatic. Twice daily boat parties on The Argonaughty, the stunning open air club Barbarellas, main stage and beach bar host 7 days and nights of amazing music, sound-tracked by headliners including Metro Area, Space Dimension Controller, Crazy P, Auntie Flo, Outboxx, Paqua, Land Of Light, Face and Heel with many more to be announced. DJs include Floating Points, Eats Everything, Thugfucker, Justin Martin, Krystal Klear, Theo Parrish, Danny Krivit, Soul Clap, Wolf and Lamb, Bicep, Chez Damier, Alex Boman, Psychemagik, Young Marco, Maurice Fulton, Crazy P, Greg Wilson, Huxley, Eric Duncan, DJ Nature, Tim Sweeney and many more.

Taking ‘the next step’ means a greater refining of both the festival itself and the site, with a brand new stage added for this summer adding further depth. Programming will be confirmed shortly. There are more accommodation options this summer too, with the luxurious Shikar tents imported from India returning, featuring a porch with table and chair, electric fans, storage and dressing area. This is arguably the most sumptuous way to experience the festival. Podpads are also coming to Tisno for the first time this summer, offering a further range of sleeping solutions, and there are also 3 and 4-bed apartments on site with great access to the surrounding area. Standard camping space is available on site too, as well as villas, apartments and hotels for rent in Tisno and the surrounding area. For the first time too Berlin’s Wilde Renate crew are running a special boat and secret island party, Danny Krivit has just been announced for The Garden Festival meets Electric Elephant handover at Barbarellas, and both festivals offer special reduced price Double Whammy tickets.

With air-travel expanding year on year, there are now more routes than ever to get to this sun-kissed slice of Croatian paradise, with several UK airports offering flights to Zadar and Split, as well as right across Europe. Both cities are just an hour from Tisno by car.

For those returning to Croatia or fun and adventure seekers coming for the first time, the country features outstanding beauty, with national parks, waterfalls and miles and miles of pristine coastline, with historic, stylish and very contemporary cities to explore, as well as many stunning islands, from Hvar and Vis to Brac and Korluca The Garden Tisno site is set in a gently hilly area which overlooks a beautiful bay below, complete with sandy beach and crystal clear waters, with onsite accommodation available including luxury Shikar tents, Podpads and apartments. Tisno itself – split between the mainland and the island of Murter, joined by a 20m rising bridge – is just a ten-minute walk away, a charming picture-perfect town with a host of restaurants, cafes, apartments and hotels. It’s situated pretty much right between Zadar and Split airports, with lots of flights from Europe to each, and continues to attract a global crowd of sun-seekers and music-lovers to what is widely considered one of Europe’s best boutique festivals, nestled on a tiny stretch of Croatia’s beautiful coastline.
