On Saturday 16th February Loft Studios welcomes Clouded Vision to take over its interior for another superlative line-up. Clouded Vision is Matt Walsh’s artistic platform, which prides itself in bringing only the freshest talent to the fore, with this billing proving testament to that quest of quality. Miss Kittin, Daniel Avery andJustin Robertson are all present and correct in what promises to be a night to remember.
Miss Kittin is a true veteran of the scene. Considered one of the most gutsiest and most prominent female presences in electronic music today, she brings her expansive discography and knowledge to the decks. Incorporating the whole history of techno into her sets, they’re more than just a performance, they’re a true education. With a her current EP Life Is My Teacher punching out the resounding Miss Kittin sound, she’ll be releasing her third album, Calling From The Stars in April next year.
Daniel Avery is perhaps defined by his association with one of London’s most celebrated clubs, Fabric, but there’s more to this individual than a residency. 2012 saw a real push by Avery on the production front, with the youngster forging a healthy relationship with Erol Alkan’s label Phantasy Sound, a relationship that looks likely to bear more fruit as we move into 2013.
Completing the line-up is Justin Robertson, a legend who was instrumental to the success of dance music in the UK. A key player in the ‘Madchester’ scene and resident at clubs including Spice and Most Excellent, and not shy of dipping into more exotic territory, Robertson really knows his onions.
Clouded Vision has become synonymous with quality, with this eclectic line-up atLoft Studios representing all it stands for.
