London Electronic Presents…Word of Mouth…Tour Finale Matt Tolfrey, Lee Curtiss, Kate Simko & Guests
Friday 1st February sees Leftroom present the grand finale of label boss Matt Tolfrey’s tour celebrating the launch of his debut album, Word of Mouth. Joining him will be fellow album cohorts Lee Curtiss, Kate Simko, Sam Russ, Jem Cookeand Kevin Knapp.
Word of Mouth is the culmination of years of hard work from one of the house scene’s most lauded producers and DJs, the UK’s own Matt Tolfrey. The album sees the Leftroom head honcho move away from traditional production methods, utilising innovative techniques to create something truly unique. To make things even more special for the tour finale, album-collaborators Jem Cooke and Kevin Knappwill provide live vocals in a show quite unlike anything you’ve seen before.
Lee Curtiss has long been great friends with Matt Tolfrey, with both of them working together in various projects, most notably on the hit ‘Candy’ on Culprit. After the announcement of a new collaboration with Ryan Crosson slated for release on Leftroom, the future looks tremendously bright for Curtiss.
Kate Simko joins the bill after proving to be a huge hit for Leftroom this year. Kate is one of the unsung heroes of the underground, quietly building a reputation amongst those in the know. Expect to hear everything from jacking house to hard techno in a set that’s sure to keep you on your toes.
Completing the bill is Leftroom resident Sam Russo, a young producer whose knowledge extends far past his years. Working with Matt Tolfrey to create his first LP on Leftroom throughout 2012, as well as entering the studio with the legendary Craig Richards, you an except great things in the future from one of the UK’s hottest prospects.
