Basement Jaxx, and Parov Stelar to headline Beatherder

Headliners Basement Jaxx (Friday), and Parov Stelar (Saturday), plus Martha Reeves and The Vandellas, Andrew Weatherall, Plump DJs, and Dreadzone are among the first acts announced for this summer’s Beatherder Festival, described as a festival of beats and baaminess.

Also appearing at the festival to help celebrate its tenth birthday are Catz N Dogz, Shiba San, Vanilla Ace, Utah Saints, The Lancashire Hotpots, Krysko, Greg Lord, Mooqee, Jeramiah Ferrari, Moose Funk Squad, Horse Party, Captain Hotknives, Good Foxy, Eddie Earthquake & The Tremors, and Ed Stones & The BD3.

The festival, situated in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire from Friday 17th until Sunday 19th July 2015, is independently funded and has no involvement in corporate organisations, nor does it receive any sponsorship. It has organically grown from its free party roots and has a musical emphasis on dance and electronic artists.

Over the last decade, Beat-Herder has come to be known for its attention to detail when building the site. Built entirely from scratch by hand, the festival houses all manner of surprises at every twist and turn. Each year unexpected new areas magically appear for festival-goers to stumble upon. Last year’s new additions included a swimming pool in the woods, housed in a Scandinavian style wooden cabin, complete with changing rooms and lifeguards and The Ring, a huge earth mound with a Stonehenge-esque entrance.

Tickets are sold on tiers with and priced from £127.50, and Tier 4 cost £140. Prices are subject to an additional booking fee.

All Beat-Herder tickets, regardless of the tier, are the same with the same entitlements. All tiers are available, so either grab a bargain from the lower tiers while you can, or if you’re feeling super flush, buy a ticket from the top end to give those with shallow pockets a cheaper option.

All Adult Tickets are subject to a £5 refundable litter bond. This will be refunded at the festival when the ticket holder presents a full bag of litter at a litter bond station in the campsite or campervan field.

New this year, is the ‘Youth Ticket’ for anyone aged from 13 – 17 years old priced at £75 plus booking fee. All Youth Ticket holders must be accompanied to the festival by a parent, a legal guardian or a nominated guardian over the age of 30.

Child tickets for those aged 2 to 12 years old are £25 plus BF. Under 2 year olds need an Infant Ticket, but these cost £nothing.

This year there’s the Car Parking Pass at £11, Campervan Pass (up to 6m in length) for £25, Campervan Pass (6m in length or longer) £40, and the Car and Caravan Pass for £40.

The cost of tickets can be spread out through the Deposit Scheme or the monthly Payment Plan for Tier 3 Adult Tickets as well as all child and vehicle passes. The Payment Plan collects your payments automatically via Direct Debit. The Deposit Scheme allows you to secure your ticket with a 50% deposit. The balance needs settling before May 1st 2015.
